Role Overview:

We are seeking a NetSuite SuiteProjects Functional Consultant with strong functional expertise in NetSuite SuiteProjects / Project Management and project billing processes. The role will focus on configuring, supporting, and optimizing project-related billing and charge processes, ensuring accurate and efficient project financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with project billing, charge-based billing, charge rules, and vendor bill charge generation, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex billing and charge-related issues. This role requires strong functional knowledge of NetSuite, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective NetSuite solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide post-implementation functional support for NetSuite SuiteProjects, with a strong focus on project billing and charge management.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Project Billing, Charge-Based Billing, Charge Rules, Project Charges, and Vendor Bill-related charges.

• Review and troubleshoot duplicate, incorrect, or unexpected charge generation, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate resolutions.

• Review existing SuiteProjects billing configurations to identify configuration gaps, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvement.

• Configure and optimize billing schedules, charge rules, project charges, and related billing processes based on business requirements.

• Analyze billing and charge-related issues using NetSuite records, configurations, workflows, and transaction data.

• Validate and correct existing configurations to ensure accurate project billing and charge generation.

• Participate in client calls and screen-sharing sessions to understand issues, demonstrate findings, and walk clients through recommended solutions.

• Explain technical or system-related root causes in a clear, business-friendly manner to clients and stakeholders.

• Recommend and implement functional solutions that improve billing accuracy, system efficiency, and overall SuiteProjects processes.

• Collaborate with technical consultants, developers, and other internal teams when issues require technical investigation or customization.

• Document troubleshooting findings, root causes, configurations, and recommended solutions to support knowledge sharing and future issue resolution.

What You’ll Need:

• 3+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience, preferably in a consulting, implementation, or application support environment.

• Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite SuiteProjects / Project Management.

• Demonstrated expertise in:

  • Project Billing

  • Charge-Based Billing

  • Charge Rules

  • Project Charges

  • Vendor Bill-related Charges

  • Billing Schedules

  • Charge generation and billing processes

• Proven experience troubleshooting duplicate, incorrect, missing, or unexpected charges in SuiteProjects.

• Experience reviewing, correcting, and optimizing existing SuiteProjects billing configurations.

• Strong understanding of the relationship between projects, charges, vendor bills, billing schedules, and customer billing.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes rather than only resolve symptoms.

• Comfortable working in a post-implementation support and optimization environment.

• Strong client-facing communication skills and confidence participating in client calls and screen-sharing sessions.

• Ability to explain NetSuite functionality, configuration issues, and root causes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to translate business requirements into appropriate NetSuite functional configurations and solutions.

• Strong documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
