NetSuite Technical Consultant (SOX-Compliant Development & Support)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Technical Consultant to support and enhance our NetSuite ecosystem within a US publicly traded company. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining NetSuite customizations, integrations, workflows, and enterprise applications while ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and internal controls. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in SuiteScript development, workflow automation, system integrations, and production support, with experience working in a regulated and audit-driven environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Design, develop, test, and deploy NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2.x.
Develop and maintain User Event Scripts, Client Scripts, Scheduled Scripts, Map/Reduce Scripts, RESTlets, and Suitelets.
Build and manage custom records, forms, fields, saved searches, dashboards, and reports.
Design and implement SOX-compliant workflows, approval processes, validations, and system controls.
Support IT General Controls (ITGC), application controls, audit requirements, and change management processes.
Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to support SOX reviews and compliance initiatives.
Configure and automate business processes while maintaining system integrity, auditability, and compliance.
Support integrations between NetSuite and external platforms such as procurement, banking, payroll, CRM, and middleware systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve REST, SOAP, API, and integration-related issues.
Support data synchronization, reconciliation, and system performance optimization.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for NetSuite and integrated enterprise applications.
Participate in release management activities, production deployments, testing, and system enhancements.
Follow established development standards, peer review processes, and technical documentation requirements.
What You’ll Need:
8+ years of hands-on NetSuite technical development experience.
Strong expertise in SuiteScript 2.x development.
Experience designing and implementing SOX-compliant workflows, validations, and approval processes.
Experience supporting NetSuite within a US publicly traded company or similarly regulated environment.
Strong understanding of NetSuite security, role-based access controls, and segregation of duties.
Experience with REST and SOAP integrations.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), change management, and release management processes.
Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise application integrations.

SuiteCloud Developer Certification.
Experience with integration platforms such as Celigo, Boomi, or MuleSoft.
Experience working with financial systems, accounting processes, and enterprise finance operations.
Prior experience supporting SOX audits, compliance programs, and public company environments.
