Accounts Officer (Acumatica)
Work Arrangement / Work Shift: Remote / 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Western Australia
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Officer to manage a diverse range of financial, human resources, and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment. Operating remotely, you will handle vital functions including payroll processing, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and purchasing. This role requires maintaining strong professional communication with all employees, clients, and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Human Resources
Payroll processing and associated administration in MYOB Advanced (Acumatica) in accordance with Australian regulations.
Maintaining employee records.
Processing liability requirements – PAYG and Superannuation in accordance with Australian regulations.
Finance
Reconciliation of Bank, Credit Cards and Petty Cash.
Quarterly Business Activity Statement processing.
Accounts payable administration including processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements and processing payments in line with Supplier credit terms.
Accounts receivable statement processing and debtor management, chasing outstanding debtor accounts.
Providing trade references.
Processing Credit applications – Creditors and Debtors.
Ad hoc account reports for Management and or Accountants.
End of month/year archiving.
Administration
Maintaining pricing records on MYOB in line with business pricing schedules in accordance with Acumatica.
Purchasing products and supplies as directed by the manager.
Communicate with the Manager to inform of any concerns, feedback or any requirements for supplies recorded.
Maintain good communication with all employees, clients, stakeholders.
Ability to remain professional whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
Undertake performance reviews regularly with the manager.
General cleaning and maintaining a safe work environment for self and all employees.
Adherence to the code of conduct.
Additional Notes
You must be able to stand/walk for the duration of your shift.
Hearing protection and enclosed shoes must be worn in the embroidery room.
Long hair must be tied back when operating machines.
What You’ll Need:
Software / Systems
MYOB Advanced (Acumatica) experience — this is explicitly named for payroll, pricing, and finance tasks; it's non-negotiable given the volume of work tied to it
General proficiency with accounting/ERP software
Payroll & Compliance
Australian payroll processing knowledge — PAYG and Superannuation compliance are specifically called out
Understanding of Australian employment regulations (Fair Work, STP, etc.)
Accounts Payable & Receivable
End-to-end AP experience — processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, managing payment terms
AR/Debtor management experience — chasing outstanding accounts, statement processing
Finance & Reconciliation
Bank, credit card, and petty cash reconciliation
BAS (Business Activity Statement) preparation — quarterly processing is a core duty
Administration & Reporting
Ad hoc financial reporting for management/accountants
End-of-month and end-of-year close processes
Maintaining pricing records in the system
Soft Skills / Work Style
Strong written and verbal communication — liaising with employees, clients, and stakeholders
Ability to work independently in a remote setup (position is remote)
Attention to detail and ability to handle a fast-paced environment
Professionalism and discretion — especially for payroll and HR-sensitive data
