NetSuite Functional Consultant
Work Arrangement / Work Shift: Remote Setup / US Time Zone
Role Overview: The NetSuite Functional Consultant is a hands-on delivery resource in the Managed Services department, responsible for functional configuration, optimization, and support across our Crafted ERP customer base. This role works under the direction of the Solution Success Manager (SSM), who owns the advisory relationship and engagement roadmap for each customer.
Day-to-day, this means configuring and optimizing NetSuite, troubleshooting issues, supporting customers directly, and contributing to the health of each engagement. The role requires strong NetSuite skills, a practical understanding of food and beverage workflows, and the ability to interact with US-based customers in English with confidence and professionalism.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Functional Configuration:
Configure and optimize core NetSuite modules and Crafted ERP features including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, inventory management, manufacturing (work orders, assemblies, BOMs), and lot traceability.
Execute work packets as prioritized by the SSM with timely completion, proper documentation, and clear communication.
Configure custom fields, forms, workflows, saved searches, roles, dashboards, and reports.
Provide customization specifications to the development team when requirements extend beyond functional configuration.
Troubleshoot customer-reported issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions aligned with NetSuite best practices.
Customer Engagement:
Serve as a responsive point of contact for customers on day-to-day functional requests and support.
Participate in customer calls, discovery sessions, and working sessions to gather requirements, demonstrate solutions, or provide training.
Communicate proactively on task status, deliverables, timelines, and any blockers.
Lead portions of customer meetings independently — presenting work, walking through configurations, and fielding questions.
Provide end-user training to drive adoption of NetSuite and Crafted ERP capabilities.
Document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications aligned with Crafted ERP standards.
Solution Research & Recommendations:
Stay current with the NetSuite SuiteApp marketplace, third-party integrations, and partner solutions relevant to our customers.
Evaluate and recommend SuiteApps and third-party tools that address customer needs or reduce the need for custom development.
Offer alternate solutions and best practice guidance rather than implementing requests at face value.
Collaborate with the SSM to present solution options, including trade-offs between native functionality, SuiteApps, and custom builds.
Platform & Industry Knowledge:
Stay current with NetSuite platform releases, new features, and Oracle's evolving AI capabilities (e.g., NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, AI-driven forecasting, intelligent automation) and assess their applicability to our customer base.
Apply working knowledge of food and beverage industry processes including production planning, recipe and batch management, lot tracking, regulatory compliance, and distribution.
Support industry-specific Crafted ERP features and workflows to meet the operational needs of food and beverage producers.
Maintain awareness of advanced NetSuite modules and capabilities that align with the needs of food and beverage customers, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage them.
Collaboration & Quality:
Work with the SSM to understand engagement priorities, backlog sequencing, and customer context.
Provide regular status updates, flagging risks, dependencies, or scope changes that impact delivery or hours.
Collaborate with developers and other consultants to deliver integrated solutions that meet company's quality standards.
Contribute to internal documentation, knowledge base articles, and process improvement.
Surface insights from delivery — recurring pain points, underutilized features, emerging needs — to the SSM for planning.
Test all configurations thoroughly before customer delivery, including UAT coordination when applicable.
Maintain detailed documentation of work completed, including configuration notes, process flows, and customer-facing deliverables.
What You’ll Need:
