Role Overview:

Our client is a prominent sports organization based in Varese, Italy, with a rich history in basketball. As part of their growth and commitment to excellence, they are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Accountant to undertake a crucial financial project.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in a time-sensitive financial project, managing bank statements, P&L, balances, and ensuring strict bookkeeping discipline.

This role requires expertise in monthly adjustments, proper accrual accounting, and the ability to work with less supervision.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Bank Statement Reconciliation: Thoroughly review and reconcile bank statements, demonstrating expertise in dealing with transactions over an extended period.

• Financial Project Management: Oversee financial projects involving Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balances, and monthly adjustments. Implement proper accruals and adjustments to maintain accurate financial records.

• Strict Bookkeeping Discipline: Enforce and adhere to strict bookkeeping discipline, ensuring all financial records are accurately maintained and comply with relevant regulations and standards.

• Monthly Adjustments: Perform monthly accruals and adjustments with precision to reflect accurate financial standing. The candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of proper accrual processes.

• Less Supervision: Work with minimal supervision, showcasing the ability to independently manage financial tasks and projects effectively.

• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with a team of two in-house employees who speak Italian. Effective communication and the ability to work harmoniously with the team are crucial.

• Migration to XERO: Undertake the migration of manual records to the XERO accounting platform. Being XERO certified is a must to ensure a seamless transition while maintaining data integrity.

What You’ll Need:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.

• XERO Certification is mandatory

• Proven experience in handling bank statements, P&L, balances, and monthly adjustments.

• In-depth knowledge of proper accrual accounting principles.

• Strong discipline in bookkeeping practices.

• Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.

• Excellent communication skills, especially in a team environment.
